What We Do

Daughters of Afghanistan works to expand educational access, economic resilience, and well-being for Afghan girls and women through community-driven, culturally rooted initiatives. Our activities reflect our four strategic pillars, and we collaborate closely with academic institutions, non-profit organizations, local leaders, and business networks.

We engage elders, youth, scholars, and community members to foster support for girls’ and women’s education, promote women’s rights, and build a collective movement toward lasting change. We also strengthen diaspora connections and facilitate coordinated activism to amplify impact.

We provide informal education, literacy training, and digital and life skills development through accessible, context-sensitive tools tailored to Afghanistan’s current realities. Our programs also promote legal awareness, build confidence, and strengthen self-advocacy among women and girls.

We support vocational training, small business initiatives, and income-generating projects that promote self-reliance. Women are connected to mentorship networks, market opportunities, and practical resources to help them rebuild economic independence.

We provide community-based education on maternal and reproductive health, hygiene, nutrition, mental well-being, and first aid. Our work includes outreach, remote health training, and secure telehealth support to address urgent and long-term health needs.

We organize speaker series, webinars, and conferences that connect grassroots Afghan women leaders with international experts, fostering dialogue, resilience, and collective learning.
